Your Instructor

My name is Lori Vraney. I am a RN, BSN, Certified Childbirth Educator, and Certified CPR/First Aid Instructor. I have over 30 years experience working in Women and Infants Services and 25 years of experience teaching Childbirth and Parenting Classes. I have worked with Teens and adults, women planning an adoption for their child and families preparing to adopt. I am also the proud mother of 4 children and grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren!

Sometimes it can be overwhelming when choosing a childbirth class or what type of a birth you wish to have. My goal is to give you the knowledge base necessary to make informed decisions about your birth experience and journey into parenthood.

Some things to consider when choosing your childbirth classes - classes held in a hospital setting are usually taught by an RN and the information given is geared towards that particular hospital and their practices. Classes held in another location are typically taught by a certified childbirth educator or doula. With Families in Bloom, you will receive the best education possible as I am both an RN and a Certified Childbirth Educator.
